The Other Six Days

Things are a little bit quiet at All Saints’ during the week.

OFFICE HOURS–we don’t have any regular office hours.  But if you would like to get together with Mother Mary, the Priest in Charge at All Saints’, she is happy to meet at a mutually convenient time and place.  Call her at 770-655-1713.

WEDNESDAYS at 7 pm we have CHOIR PRACTICE. (In the summer the choir practices only on Sunday mornings.  So check with Jim Myers if it’s between Pentecost and Labor Day when you are trying to learn more.)  If you love to sing, you are welcome to join the choir.  For further information, contact Jim Myers at 701-838-0619.

WEDNESDAYS at noon, we have a BROWN BAG Bible Study.  Bring a lunch and an open mind, and a Bible if you have one you like to use.  (Otherwise, we have several that you can use.)  In the summer of 2015 we are studying the parables of Jesus.   We try to make sure you are out the door by 1 pm.

WEDNESDAYS at 5:30 PM, we pray EVENING PRAYER together and there is the option to follow the formal liturgical office of Evening Prayer with a 20 minute time of CENTERING PRAYER or silent meditation.

THURSDAYS between 9 am and 1 pm, volunteers are getting ready to welcome guests to our Soup Kitchen.  All Saints’ hosts this meal for anywhere from 50 to 100 guests each week.  Generally, we serve two or three kinds of soup, a sandwich or casserole, sometimes a salad, and a dessert, as well as hot and cold drinks.  Often the salads and soup vegetables come directly from the gardens of our volunteers or other community members.  We have some regular assistance from other churches and organizations according to the schedule below:

1st Thursday–All Saints’ hosts and provides the soup and accompanying foods.

2nd Thursday–Home School Families provide volunteers, soup, and other accompanying foods. Bethany Lutheran provides soup.

3rd Thursday–Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church provides volunteers, soup, and other accompanying foods.

4th Thursday–All Saints’ hosts and provides accompanying foods.  Bethany Lutheran provides soup.

5th Thursdays–All Saints’ hosts and provides accompanying foods.

The only Thursdays that we do NOT provide a meal are Thanksgiving–and Christmas and New Year’s, if they fall on a Thursday.  For further information, or to volunteer, please contact Margaret Zaharia at 701-838-2607.
